DerSpiess is a Teutonnic political and military figure who served as Vice Realmschancellor before becoming Realmspresident of the Greater Teutonnic Realm. Following the succession crisis, he became Head of State, succeeding Odoyevsky. He currently serves as Realmsprotector.

Before becoming Realmspresident, DerSpiess held prominent positions within the government of Teutonnia, serving as Vice Realmschancellor and later as Commander-in-Chief of the Teutonnic Armed Forces.

DerSpiess was also involved in the development of state projects within Teutonnia. In 2025, he was involved in the development and opening of the updated Alpine Fortress map alongside other members of the Realm's leadership.

Rise to power

Main article: War of the Rulersflowers

On 1 March 2026, Eternal Ruler Leutgard left Roblox and Teutonnia, transferring control of the Realm to the Teutonnic High Command. Odoyevsky was appointed as his successor, but his rule was brief.

Following Odoyevsky's appointment, a crisis of legitimacy emerged. The Rulerguard, whose oath was tied directly to Leutgard, refused to recognize the new Ruler and began an armed uprising.

On 22 March 2026, the War of the Rulersflowers began. The Rulerguard seized Lenburg Castle and proclaimed the RG-Orderstate, while forces loyal to the new administration, including the Teutonnic Armed Forces and the Unityguard, opposed it.

The conflict ended on 5 April 2026, when the Rulerguard surrendered Lenburg Castle and the RG-Orderstate was dissolved. Odoyevsky then left the position of Head of State, and DerSpiess became Realmspresident of the Greater Teutonnic Realm.

Realmspresident

DerSpiess's rise to power marked a new political period following the end of Leutgard's rule and the civil war.

Under the previous system, the title of Eternal Ruler also served as the designation of the Head of State. After the crisis, the title of Eternal Ruler was retained exclusively by Leutgard, and the Head of State was instead designated as the Realmspresident. DerSpiess was the first person to hold this position.

As Realmspresident, DerSpiess served as both Head of State and Commander-in-Chief of the Teutonnic Armed Forces.

Military leadership

As Commander-in-Chief, DerSpiess held supreme leadership over the Teutonnic Armed Forces, consisting of the Teutonnic Army, Teutonnic Navy, and Teutonnic Airforce. Direct military administration was carried out through the Supreme Command of the Armed Forces.

Following the War of the Rulersflowers, DerSpiess was also involved in the reintegration of the Rulerguard into the Teutonnic state structure, and was listed as the Rulerguard's patron.

Coup attempts

During the final period of DerSpiess's presidency, Teutonnia experienced two attempted coups that contributed to growing political instability.

KlausVonRhein coup

The first coup attempt involved KlausVonRhein and Alberecht, a prominent figure in the Realm and former Realmschancellor. Following the failed attempt, KlausVonRhein was designated a Detainee of the Realm, while Alberecht was removed from his position within the Office of the Realmspresident. Alberecht avoided more severe punishment after receiving a pardon from Leutgard, and was reinstated to his former position following Pandenulf's election.

Leutgardist Cadre coup

The second coup attempt was organized by the leadership of the Leutgardist Cadre Movement (LCM), which mobilized supporters within AB:CC to pursue a more radical approach to spreading Leutgardism. The coup began at the League Headquarters, but government forces quickly suppressed it. The LCM was temporarily disbanded before eventually returning, with Leutgard intervening in the process.

Both incidents exposed divisions within Teutonnia and raised concerns about the stability of the Realm's political institutions.

Election and political transition

Following the two coup attempts, DerSpiess ordered the creation of channels on Teutonnia's Discord server to gather public opinion and identify members' grievances. Amid growing political dissatisfaction, he then initiated an election to determine the next Realmspresident.

The leading candidates were initially Vice Realmschancellor Witterhelm and former Rulerguard Intelligence Director VonDrachenholm. Both eventually withdrew, with VonDrachenholm endorsing Pandenulf, the former Deputy Ruler of Alemannia. Another candidate, ZrastosJr of the Unityguard, was removed from the contest following Leutgard's intervention.

Pandenulf won the election and became the new Ruler of the Realm. Under his administration, the office of Realmspresident was abolished, ending DerSpiess's tenure as Head of State.

Realmsprotector

Following Pandenulf's victory, DerSpiess was appointed Realmsprotector, taking responsibility for the logistics of Teutonnia and 2.16 Studios, the Roblox group associated with the Realm. The role allowed him to remain involved in the administration of Teutonnia under the new political structure.

Legacy

DerSpiess holds a notable place in Teutonnia's modern history as the first Realmspresident following the end of Leutgard's direct rule. His tenure began in the aftermath of the War of the Rulersflowers and saw the restoration of governmental authority, the reintegration of the Rulerguard, and two attempted coups that exposed significant political divisions.

His presidency ended with Pandenulf's election and the abolition of the Realmspresidency, marking the transition from the post-crisis period to Pandenulf's new government.
