It is responsible for the defense of Teutonnia's maritime territories, naval operations, coastal defense, and amphibious warfare. The Navy operates a combination of both surface and undersea flotillas as well as coastal artillery and marine infantry units.

The Greater Teutonnic Navy is one of the three official branches of the [[Teutonnic Armed Forces]], alongside the [[Teutonnic Army|Greater Teutonnic Army]] and the [[Teutonnic Airforce|Greater Teutonnic Airforce]].

The primary mission of the Greater Teutonnic Navy is to maintain control over and secure the Realm’s maritime approaches and claimed territorial waters. Its responsibilities also include defending naval bases and ports, such as the [[AB:CC Navy Dockyard|Teutogard Peninsula Navy Dockyard]], supporting amphibious operations, and projecting Teutonnic military power beyond the Realm’s immediate coastline.

The Greater Teutonnic Navy's doctrine emphasizes sea control, maritime deterrence, rapid deployment, and combined naval-amphibious operations. Fleet formations provide the principal means of conducting operations at sea, while Marine Infantry and Coastal Artillery formations support the defense and seizure of strategically important coastal positions.

The Navy's specialized flotillas and formations allow it to maintain forces capable of operating across multiple maritime environments. The integration of surface, undersea, coastal, and amphibious units is considered a central element of Teutonnic naval doctrine.

The Navy maintains the same general standards of discipline and military organization found throughout the Teutonnic Armed Forces. Personnel are expected to meet established professional and operational standards, with advancement based upon service performance, qualifications, and commitment to the Realm. The Navy is regarded as one of the principal instruments of Teutonnia's maritime power and as an important component of the Realm's broader military posture.

The Greater Teutonnic Navy is founded upon three principal values: Community, Ambition, and Dedication. These principles define not only the conduct expected of its personnel, but the character of the Navy itself.

All are invited, all are embraced, and all have the opportunity to carve out their own path through diligence, camaraderie, and dedication.

The strength of a fleet is not measured solely by the vessels it commands, but by the people who stand upon their decks. Every sailor, marine, officer, and commander forms part of a greater brotherhood bound together by shared service and common purpose.

Within the Navy, every member has a place. Whether one seeks glory upon the high seas, camaraderie within a squadron, or simply a place to enjoy the community, the Navy welcomes those willing to contribute to its continued strength.
