Overview
The RG-Protection Command "Leutgard" [PCL] is the Realm's premier guard unit tasked with protecting the Office of the Ruler: the Eternal Ruler Leutgard, Deputy Ruler Odoyevsky, and Adjutant Arthurarian. While guarding, the Protection Command stands above all of the Realm's laws in order to ensure the safety of the Realm's most important figures.

The RG-Protection Command consists of three regiments: RG-Protection Commando "Leutgard," RG-Liferegiment "Leutgard," and RG-Shock Regiment "23 July."

Organization
The RG-Protection Command is divided into three specialized regiments, each serving a different role in the protection of the Office of the Ruler.

RG-Protection Commando "Leutgard"
The RG-Protection Commando "Leutgard" [RG-PC] is the personal guard of the Realm's leadership, responsible for the immediate protection of the Eternal Ruler, Deputy Ruler, and Adjutant to the Ruler. The Commando is the smallest of the three regiments, and as such there is no way to directly enter it without proving yourself in one of the other regiments.

The RG-Protection Commando has three additional honor ranks: the Chauffer of the Ruler, the Standard Bearer of the Ruler, and the Pilot of the Ruler. All three positions have a limit of one person only and are Commissioned Officers.

RG-Liferegiment "Leutgard"
The RG-Liferegiment "Leutgard" [RG-LR] is the perimeter guard unit for details, responsible for ensuring that hostile forces do not get a chance to get near the Eternal Ruler, Deputy Ruler, or Adjutant. Unlike the RG-PC, they are not given custom ranks and instead use the standard Rulerguard rank structure.

RG-Shock Regiment "23 July"
Named after the Eternal Ruler's birthday, the RG-Shock Regiment "23 July" [RG-SR] is the Ruler's personal shock unit, responsible for countering hostile forces on the front to ensure the Eternal Ruler, Deputy Ruler, and Adjutant's safety.

Duties
RG-Protection Commando

* Immediate protection of the Eternal Ruler, Deputy Ruler, and Adjutant.
* Escorting the Office of the Ruler during ceremonies, travel, and public appearances.
* Operating as the senior authority when multiple guard units are present.

Honor duties include:

* Chauffer of the Ruler – Drives the Office of the Ruler from place to place in game, utilizing one of the many luxury vehicles at the regiment's disposal.
* Standard Bearer of the Ruler – Holds the RG-Protection Command's flag during official ceremonies and events.
* Pilot of the Ruler – Flies the Office of the Ruler in helicopters and airplanes, having access to all vehicles in game.

RG-Liferegiment

* Perimeter security for details.
* Preventing hostile forces from approaching the Office of the Ruler.
* Supporting the Commando during formal events and movements.

RG-Shock Regiment

* Countering hostile forces at the front.
* Acting as the offensive arm of the Protection Command.
* Ensuring the continued safety of the Office of the Ruler during conflict situations.

Equipment
RG-Protection Commando

* StG-44PC, a modified StG-44 with a suppressor, which is a two-shot kill weapon with 30 rounds.
* Engineering tools.
* Grappling hook.
* Grab tool.

RG-Liferegiment

* Engineering tools.
* Grappling hook.

RG-Shock Regiment

* Standard combat equipment used with the regiment’s combat uniform and webbing.

Uniform
RG-Protection Commando

Commandos wear the bluish-gray Rulerguard formal uniform, either the standard issue or the overcoat with pink piping. This is paired with:

* Formal white webbing.
* Steel helmet bearing a gray Leutgard shield and RG insignia on each side.
* Double cuff titles, the only example of such in the Realm.

At formal events, such as rallies or in the Hall of Ceremonies, the Commando will wear ceremonial backpacks with white webbing. In both instances, the highest-ranking officer will wear an officer's cap to signify their seniority.

RG-Liferegiment

RG-Liferegiment personnel wear a similar uniform to the RG-Protection Commando with key differences:

* Black webbing.
* Standard Rulerguard Sabre.

Both the formal uniform and helmet are identical to the Commando’s. During formal events and ceremonies, a formal backpack is also used, however with black webbing as opposed to white. Liferegiment officers never wear their caps when on duty as the leader of the detail is a Commando.

RG-Shock Regiment

RG-Shock Regiment personnel can most commonly be seen wearing the combat uniform, consisting of:

* Orange camouflage patterns on the helmet and uniform.
* Standard combat webbing.
* Sometimes a camouflaged face mask for better concealment.

During official events or ceremonies, the same formal uniform is worn by all members, looking practically identical to the RG-Liferegiment.

Recruitment
The RG-Protection Commando is the smallest of the three regiments, and there is no way to directly enter it without proving yourself in one of the other regiments. Personnel are expected to distinguish themselves in the RG-Liferegiment or RG-Shock Regiment before consideration.

The RG-Liferegiment and RG-Shock Regiment act as the primary entry paths into the RG-Protection Command structure.

History
The modern form of the Eternal Ruler’s personal guard traces its origins to the Greater Alemannic Realm, where the early Rulerguard Protection Commando [RG-PC] served as a specialized element within the broader Rulerguard, tasked with protecting the Office of the Ruler alongside conventional forces.

Following the formation of Teutonnia in 2022, the first dedicated incarnation of the unit was established as the RG-Lifeguard-Regiment "Leutgard", operating from late 2022 to early 2023. This early Lifeguard differed significantly from later iterations. Personnel wore the standard General Rulerguard uniform and were equipped with the G-46 assault rifle. Notably, it became the first unit in the Realm to be issued the standard Sabre, setting a ceremonial and functional precedent for future formations. Although visually and structurally basic compared to later developments, the Lifeguard laid the organizational foundation for all subsequent protection units. Despite its name, the Lifeguard functioned as a division-sized element under the General Rulerguard, rather than a true regiment. Throughout its existence, the unit was commanded by only three leaders: BlitzfaII, train710, and Not_Tfue56.

In early 2023, the second major iteration was formed as the RG-Liferegiment "Leutgard," which remained active until early 2024. This version marked a period of refinement and specialization. The regiment introduced new visual and organizational features, most notably the adoption of white webbing, which would become a defining characteristic of later protection units. During this phase, the formation was reorganized into a proper regiment-sized element, bringing it closer to the modern structure of the RG-Protection Command.

Further historical development of the RG-Protection Command and its successor formations continue to evolve.

Trivia
* The Shock Regiment's namesake "23 July" is the Eternal Ruler's birthday.
* The name "23 July" has been used by a previous division: the 32. RG-Volunteer-Grenadier-Division "23 July" during the RG-Orderstate era.
* The RG-Protection Commando is the only unit authorized to have its own veteran's group, The Order of the Gray Shield.
* If multiple guard units are present in an area, the RG-Protection Command is the highest priority, all others come after.
