=== Ideology === [[File:LeutgardistPrimerFrontPage.png|thumb|517x517px|The front page of the Leutgardist Primer c. 1944]] Teutonnia, since its inception, has followed '''Leutgardism''', the political ideology espoused by the Ruler himself, as its governing ideology. Under Leutgardism, leadership is maintained under the '''Rulersprinciple''', which believes that only the best and most capable person should occupy leadership, and that Leutgard is the ultimate example of a leader. In addition, authority flows downward from Leutgard, while responsibility flows upward towards Leutgard. Leutgardism also criticizes democracy, believing that the ordinary population does not have the expertise to govern themselves, and instead should trust leaders who are qualified and act in their best interests. Each Realm is also viewed as a vessel for Leutgardism, for Leutgardism is eternal, and lives on with the people. Leutgardism also views the general population as 'servants' of the nation rather than citizens. A citizen is differentiated from the general population, for they prove loyalty through actions and service, rather than a spoken oath. As such, citizenship is viewed as an honor to the people, not a given title. Leutgard is also viewed as the highest moral authority. He is viewed as an intelligent and capable leader, and the central figure to Leutgardism. He is also viewed as the one who understands the future of the people, even when they do not. Leutgard is ultimately the vessel for the will of the people, and only with him, does the governance and structure of the Realm continue.
