== Politics == === Ideology === Teutonnia, since its inception, has followed Leutgardism, the political ideology espoused by the Ruler himself, as its governing ideology. Under Leutgardism, leadership is maintained under the Rulersprinciple, which believes that only the best and most capable person should occupy leadership, and that Leutgard is the ultimate example of a leader. In addition, authority flows downward from Leutgard, while responsibility flows upward towards Leutgard. Leutgardism also criticizes democracy, believing that the ordinary population does not have the expertise to govern themselves, and instead should trust leaders who are qualified and act in their best interests. Each Realm is also viewed as a vessel for Leutgardism, for Leutgardism is eternal, and lives on with the people. Leutgardism also views the general population as 'servants' of the nation rather than citizens. A citizen is differentiated from the general population, for they prove loyalty through actions and service, rather than a spoken oath. As such, citizenship is viewed as an honor to the people, not a given title. Leutgard is also viewed as the highest moral authority. He is viewed as an intelligent and capable leader, and the central figure to Leutgardism. He is also viewed as the one who understands the future of the people, even when they do not. Leutgard is ultimately the vessel for the will of the people, and only with him, does the governance and structure of the Realm continue. === Governance === The Ruler is considered the highest level of authority in the land, and has the final decision on any matter. Underneath him, the Realmspresident and his office carry out the major decision-making in his steed. The Realmschancellor and the Vice Realmschancellor handle the day to day governance of the Realm, and are considered the highest authority for most matters not concerning the Realmspresident. Each sphere of the Realm is handled by a specific leader, who collectively gather together as the Supreme Command of the Realm. Currently, the Supreme Command of the Realm is composed of: * The Chief of the Realmschancellery who handles the private affairs of the Realmschancellor and acts as a sitting minister of the Realmscabinet. * The Rulerslabourleader who handles the construction and development of new technologies for the Realm, and handles the distribution of equipment to the other branches of the Realm. * The Realmssecurityleader who handles the security affairs of Teutonnia and leads the Realms Security Apparatus. * The Chairman of the League of Teutonnic Unity who serves as the head of the Teutonnic Realmsgovernment and handles the civilian affairs of Teutonnia. * The Realmsmarshal who serves as the head of the Teutonnic Armed Forces and directs the military efforts of Teutonnia. * The Rulersmarshal who serves as the head of the Rulerguard, the personal force of the Ruler, and helps spread Leutgardism and the Ruler's directives. * The Unitymarshal who serves as the head of the Unityguard, and is responsible for the protection of civilians and cities in Teutonnia. Each Supreme Command member answers to the Vice Realmschancellor, and is charged with the effective development of their branches and units. ==== The Realmscabinet and the League of Teutonnic Unity ==== The Realmscabinet serves as the apex body of the governing ministries of Teutonnia, and includes: * The Chairman of the League of Teutonnic Unity * The Vice Chairman of the League of Teutonnic Unity * The Secretary of the League of Teutonnic Unity * The Chief of the Realmschancellery * The Realmstreasurer * The Realmsminister of Transportation * The Realmsminister of Foreign Affairs * The Realmsminister of War * The Realmsminister of Culture * The Realmsminister of Justice * The Realmscommissioner of Communications * The Realmsminister of the Interior Each minister is in charge of a specific ministry which handles the regulation of different areas of the Realm. In addition to the Realmscabinet, civilian affairs, including recruitment and the spread of Leutgardism, are handled by the League of Teutonnic Unity. The League of Teutonnic Unity serves as a central hub for civilian affairs, and is in charge of recruitment, spreading Leutgardism, and handling the daily civilian affairs of Teutonnia. === Law === Teutonnia uses Leutgardism as its basis for the laws of the Realm, which are further explained in the Realmslawcode, a code which serves as the basis for law enforcement and legal action in the Realm. The Realmslawcode is maintained by the Realms Security Apparatus, and is upheld by the Realmsministry of the Interior and the Realmsministry of Justice. All branches of the Realm fall under the Realmslawcode except for the Rulerguard, which follows a seperate law code as instructed by the Ruler. The Realmslawcode may be superseded by the Ruler however, as he is the highest moral authority, and as such, has the final say in judicial matters.
