== Background == === The Rule of Eternal Ruler Leutgard === For many years, the Teutonnic Realm had been governed under the leadership of Leutgard, known officially as the Eternal Ruler of the Realm. His reign was defined by strong central authority, loyalty from military institutions, and a personal bond between the ruler and the nation's elite forces. Among those most devoted to Leutgard were the Rulerguard (RG), the elite paramilitary organization created specifically to serve and protect the Eternal Ruler. the Rulerguard's oath was not sworn to the Realm itself, but directly to Leutgard personally. Their identity, traditions, and purpose were deeply connected to his leadership. When Leutgard announced his resignation, the Rulerguard accepted it, as it has done before, and swore to serve as a steadfast bastion of Leutgardism in his absence. === The Succession Crisis === Following Leutgard's resignation, he appointed [[Deputy Ruler Odoyevsky|Odoyevsky]] as his successor. The appointment was intended to provide continuity and prevent instability, but it immediately created opposition among members of the Rulerguard. Odoyevsky began enforcing a total ban on Leutgardism, showcasing of Leutgardist symbols and colours, even on the Rulerguard, citing a ""foreign threat"" to the community if he didn't. The RG, realizing that Leutgardism was under direct threat, took action to perserve Leutgardism. They rejected the transfer of authority and refused to recognize Odoyevsky's administration. While much of the Realm blindly accepted the transition and believed all the lies, the Rulerguard began organizing independently to perserve and defend the Eternal Ruler of the Greater Teutonnic Realm, Leutgard. {{#SQuote:|text=Watching the pink flower be erased from the branch that served Leutgard faithfully for years did not feel right whatsoever.|speaker=[https://teutonnia-archive.fandom.com/wiki/Aldegarr Aldegarr - Chauffeur of the Ruler]|receiver=|attribution=|source=[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zxsqt8MN2MI&t=4s "The War of the Rulersflowers" by Partridge Revi]|id=0RQA-9P8M-H3QW|template=StructuredQuote}}
