The gathering was intended to mark the transfer of leadership and announce new appointments within the Office of the Realmspresident.

The ceremony was attended by the Eternal Ruler Leutgard, whose return had made the election possible. During the event, the Realmschancellor made a surprising announcement: the Office of the Realmspresident would be abolished and replaced by the '''Office of the Ruler'''.

Rather than simply becoming the new Realmspresident, Pandenulf was appointed '''Ruler of the Realm''', with the endorsement of Leutgard.
